Offering breakfast, lunch, tapas, cocktails, great coffee, sweet treats and ice creams, it’s the perfect place to gather with family and friends by the water, from morning coffee and casual lunches to sunset drinks, tapas and celebrations.

Private functions are held in the dining room, which divides in a number of ways depending on your group. Hover any section, or any configuration, to see it light up.
Intimate Gathering River Window
The eastern end of the dining room along the long glass wall, set apart for birthdays, baby showers, wakes and team lunches.
Standing Reception The Bar End
The western end around the main bar, cleared for a cocktail-style reception with roaming plates and a bar close at hand.
The Long Lunch Centre + Window
Two sections joined into one long run of tables under the apex of the roof, with the water in view down the length of it.
Full Dining Room Exclusive use
The entire dining room to yourselves for weddings, launches and the big ones, configured however the day calls for.

Our Story
Our story
On the banks of the Murray River there is a certain magic in watching the morning mist lift from the water. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, take in the view and spend a little longer with the people around you. That feeling inspired The Foggy Lantern.
Our name evokes the lanterns of the paddle steamer era and the warmth of a welcome along the river. It captures what we hope you’ll find here: a place with character, a sense of belonging, and a table waiting for you.
A story within its walls
In 1996, three young local men built this very building. Among them was Damien O’Riley, whose vision and hard work helped make it a much-loved gathering place for Murray Bridge. Over the years families celebrated milestones here, friends met by the river, and many memories were made.
Thirty years later, Damien has returned with Peter O’Riley and their business partner James Jasiunas to give the building a new chapter. They created The Foggy Lantern with the same belief: that Murray Bridge deserves a beautiful place to come together on its riverfront.

We’re right on the riverbank at Sturt Reserve, a short stroll from the wharf and 1924 Riverfront Steakhouse, with free parking throughout the reserve.
